SABA, a Charitable Trust founded by Thaye Dorje, H.H. the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, South Asia Buddhist Association

Support the activities of SABA

SABA’s role is to help ensure the Buddhadharma flourishes in India, the very place where Buddhism was born. With your support, and under the guidance of Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, we can achieve this noble goal. Thank you for any contributions you can make to SABA’s monastic and educational projects to benefit all sentient beings.

Three ways to give

SABA’s activities rely upon your generosity. Every form of support is welcome.

You can give:

A one-time donation: Every amount is a worthy contribution and deeply appreciated.
An on-going pledge: This helps us to plan ahead and provides financial stability for projects.
A heartfelt wish: Your wish for the vision of these projects to be fulfilled is a great support for SABA and Karmapa’s activity

With your donation, you can choose to support:

SABAʼs activity and projects in general

SABA’s activities rely entirely on the generous support of friends and students who share our vision. All support – whether a one-time donation or an ongoing pledge – is welcome. Even a modest amount of 5 USD/Euro can help guarantee the sustainability of our projects. Donations enable us to create annual budgets, and plan ahead.

Karmapa Center of Education

You can support the construction and monthly maintenance costs of the center, a student or make a contribution to a teacherʼs salary.

Construction & Maintenance

Thanks to the support KCE has received, the first phase of the school’s construction has been completed. The financing and realisation of the next two construction phases will once again depend on the support of generous friends and students, who share SABA’s pioneering vision for education.

Studentʼs sponsorship

For the monthly maintenance costs of the center, we also request your support. A sponsorship of just 40 Euros per month covers the costs of a student attending KCE.

Teacherʼs Salary

Make a contribution to a teacher’s salary. KCE employs state-qualified local teachers and supports volunteer teachers who commit themselves for at least 6 months. The monthly salary of a qualified primary school teacher in West Bengal is between 300-400 Euros.

“Aspiration and dedication: these are two are such skilful means, such unsurpassable phenomena or qualities of the mind that, if it would normally take an eon to accumulate a certain merit, with aspiration and dedication we are able to reduce an eon of hard work into just one lifetime.”

Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa
