Teaching at the Karmapa Center of Education

June 28, 2017

We are looking for volunteer primary teachers of 6-12 year age group, who have attained experience and qualifications to teach in alternative pedagogies and would like to spend several months or a sabbatical year at the Karmapa Center of Education. This is an opportunity to live and teach at the center.

Our volunteer teachers need to be experienced in child-centred, individualised learning which fosters development of the whole child including physical, social, emotional and cognitive. They need to be competent to teach in all subject areas. Experience in working with children from ESL backgrounds would also be valuable and fluency in spoken English essential. Teachers from Montessori, Steiner and Escuela Nueva backgrounds would be ideal.

If this interests you, we advise that you write to us as soon as possible, to enable us to assist you in making preparations and answer the numerous questions which may arise for such a placement. We can support you in your decision making and further in the completion of all the formalities required for you to come to KCE.

If you would like to receive more information about the Karmapa Center of Education and the classes, please send us an email to info@sabassociation.org and learn more about the project on the official website: www.Karmapa-Education.org.
