KCE Board Appointment

Bodhgaya – Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa called the first board meeting with the newly appointed members of the Karmapa Center of Education on December 10. The meeting was held in Bodhgaya during the annual Kagyu Monlam.

After the official appointment of the members, Karmapa gave the board advice for running the center and shared his plans for the future of KCE with the new members.

With the arrival of the first students in November, the team has taken on the responsibility of operating the center while the construction of the next building phase continues.

The Karmapa Center of Education is a milestone in achieving Karmapa’s greater vision for education. He envisions a system of modern education that combines a way of life based on Buddhist principles with the vastness of Buddhism’s timeless knowledge.
