SABA contributed a sum of Rs. 5 lakhs to the Prime Minister’s CARES Fund
On 7 April 2020, the South Asia Buddhist Association (SABA) contributed a sum of Rs. 5 lakhs to the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM CARES Fund).
An accompanying letter from the President of SABA has also been sent to His Excellency Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to offer our support for this Fund, the sole objective of which is to deal with various emergencies, including the current Covid-19 pandemic. SABA expressed its absolute appreciation of His Excellency Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative and his resolve to address and overcome this pandemic, together with our heartfelt hope that our humble contribution may be of benefit.
