Completion of a new construction phase at KCE
The Karmapa Center of Education announces the completion of a new construction phase for February 2023
The Buddhist Education Centre has been growing since its opening in 2017. In the first phase, buildings for the primary classes were completed. In 2019, the administration building has been inaugurated, housing the temple room, dining hall and kitchen.
The buildings of the new phase accommodate classrooms for the secondary grades, including a technology centre and an art room where workshops in traditional and modern arts and crafts will be held.
The library will also be established in this construction phase. It will contain Dharma literature in both Tibetan and Western languages, the entire Kangyur and Tengyur, and a research library for secondary education. A library garden has been created, inviting everyone to read in the surroundings of the beautiful nature of Kalimpong.
This library will also be open to our friends and guests from all over the world. The education centre cordially welcomes visitors.
